In the previous blog post, we went over how to get to the surgery. Let’s see what happens next, what your first appointment looks like in a few simple steps!
After all the necessary information has been provided and your doctor has assessed your general health, we will discuss why you have come to our clinic.
This is followed by a status check, which is always necessary. This is a kind of complex dental status assessment where the entire oral cavity is mapped. If we do not have a panoramic X-ray within a year (or if a new X-ray is justified), a fresh X-ray is taken in almost all cases, which is essential for a complete status assessment.
Once we have all the necessary information and records, we will discuss the treatments required, draw up a personalised, comprehensive treatment plan and then move on to the price calculation. Throughout the consultation, we encourage our patients to feel free to ask about any details of their treatment, as we believe it is important that people who come to us start their treatment with complete confidence.
Depending on the complaint, this will take about half an hour, then we will discuss the start of the treatment and make a new appointment. This gives our patients time to think it through and prepare themselves mentally, as we know this can often lead to frustration and anxiety. We want to reassure everyone that we treat everyone who comes to us as thoroughly and carefully as possible, and our individual treatment plan helps us to do this.
In case of an acute complaint with pain, we will of course immediately start the necessary treatment, the duration of which can be determined during the assessment.
