Tricks to make brushing your teeth fun
A common problem with young children is that brushing is neglected because they don’t like to brush their teeth, parents find it hard to get their children to do it and a bad experience is associated with brushing.
Here are some tips to make brushing your teeth fun:
1 – Pleasant-tasting, colourful toothpastes, toothbrushes with patterns: the shelves of drugstores and pharmacies are full of toothpastes and toothbrushes specially made for children. If the toothpaste is tasty and your child likes the toothbrush, or if it has a favourite cartoon character on it, he or she will be more likely to pick it up and spend time brushing.
2 – Stain remover pills, mouthwash: Not only does it make brushing very playful, but it is also useful and helps teach your child the correct technique. After brushing, chewing a tablet of the plaque staining substance will stain surfaces on the teeth that have not been cleaned sufficiently. The visual result can motivate children to brush more thoroughly each day and achieve better and better results.
3 – Hourglass, playful stopwatch: It’s a good idea to put a cute hourglass or stopwatch on the edge of the tap, so you’ll spend enough time brushing your teeth and won’t be in a hurry to get out of the bathroom.
